Overview
This is an extension of a speculative design project, found here, meant to represent the work of a fictional province concerned with medicinal art. As such, the intention of the piece is to induce some form of tranquil self reflection. Fundamentally, the series is about perspective: how moments are colored by other moments and often we find ourselves searching for significance in the events of our lives. The interaction of the digital versions embodies that search for alignment, as users move about the images in order to draw connections between the circles.
PROCESS
Each interactive image was developed using p5.js. There are 12 images total, drawing on associations between months and the passage of time. Meanwhile, the circles and lines were inspired by constellations, as a literal form of assigning meaning. Within each image, there are 5 - 7 areas of alignment, allowing users to spend time scouring for every possibility.
