Collaborated with Assistant Professor Laura Devendorf and PhD Candidate Shanel Wu in developing the Loom Pedals, a hardware peripheral interface for the TC2 digital Jacquard loom by Tronrud Engineering. Designed the software interfaced, housed in the web-based, open-source weaving software: AdaCAD. More extensive documentation can be found here.

This work is an extension of another project, continuing to combine organic forms with artificial generation, with a particular attention to violence as it shapes nature. By that I mean, how water erodes rock in the formation of rivers, how life cycles through seasons of death and rebirth, the way fire and devastation can make room for resurgence and regrowth.

The words are meant to evoke that sense of violence in the headings and offer a quieter take with the subheadings. Pairing the two is a reminder of the way both play a role in the larger ecosystem of natural life. The organic portions were generated using both Processing and Unity.
