THESE SHORELINE FIRES

This project reflects the anxieties and exhaustion surrounding the growing number of ecological disasters worldwide. Both the sense of impending collapse, and impotence individuals may feel, in terms of contributing towards positive change, can leave one in a state of concerned helplessness. Unknowingly, the distant Australian fires that first inspired this piece would soon reach my doorstep, as wildfires ravaged the state of Colorado throughout the Autumn months of 2020. Illustrating to me all the more the severity of what is to come, should nothing change
